No matter what the reason. It can be very romantic and especially simple, to pick your accommodations by the beach or the bay, to cuddle up, and let the magic happen.

  • Spend the weekend with your valentine enveloped in luxurious surroundings with a beautiful bay view. The Reeds at Shelter Haven at 9601 3rd Ave. in Stone Harbor combines two nights of luxurious accommodations, champagne and chocolate covered strawberries, topped off with a 50-minute couples’ massage at The Reeds’ new Salt Spa that is sure to carry favor with your significant other.
  • How about treating your Valentine to a weekend at the Beach? The Port O Call Hotel in Ocean City, located at 1510 Boardwalk, has put together a sweetheart of a deal. Choose any two days between Thursday, Feb. 13 and Sunday, Feb. 16 in oceanfront accommodations and then add some chocolate, sparkling cider and a rose for your sweetheart and you have the makings of a romantic weekend at the beach. Sweeten the deal with a couples’ massage which is certain to kick up the heat. This package cannot be booked online, please contact the hotel at (833) 319-0010.

Your evenings at the Jersey Cape are also reserved. Dining by candlelight is always the right choice. Are you looking to share something new with your date this Valentine’s Day? If so, area restaurants are sure to be pouring on the passion with special menus that include selections meant for two.

  • The Ebbitt Room in the Virginia Hotel, located at 25 Jackson St., is considered one of the area’s top fine dining establishments, and THE perfect place to celebrate your love. Beginning with a cocktail in the elegant piano bar to the four-course menu deliciously crafted by Chef Jason, you are sure to impress that special someone. Wineries are wonderful places to celebrate together. One thing is for sure, the romance of the vineyard is universal, and it is the ideal backdrop for you and your Valentine. Many of the seven wineries located in Cape May County offer intimate settings, some with fireplaces or fire pits to gather by and taste the latest selection.

  • One such place is the Willow Creek Winery, located at 160-168 Stevens Sts., in West Cape May. On Saturday, Feb. 15, bring your sweetheart to an evening of dining and dancing. Your night of romance begins with a five-course menu prepared by master chef, Brian Parker. Each course is paired with the vintners’ curated wine selections. Add in a little candlelight and a dance by the roaring fire and you’ll have an evening to remember forever.
  • How about a fun and festive way to celebrate the holiday? Bring your Valentine to Hawk Haven Vineyard & Winery located at 600 S. Railroad Ave. in Rio Grande to celebrate Wine Trail Weekends, Feb. 8-9 and Feb.15-16. Start your adventure in the wine tasting room, choose your favorite wine and pair with a gourmet cheese board, or pick your own selection of cheeses, chocolates and more from the Barrel Room kitchen and then head to the crushpad for some dancing. Enjoy live music from 2 to 5 p.m. Doors open at 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday and the first 50 ladies each day will receive a rose. Reservations are required for parties of seven or more.

Escape to the #warmandcozyJerseyCape It can be as simple---and delightful—as a blanket on the sand, a bottle of wine and a quiet ending to a perfect day as the sun dips into the bay amid a palette of colors.

Walks, bike rides along the Boardwalks or promenades from Ocean City to Cape May, even an afternoon of bird watching for those who love nature as much as they love each other all add to that getaway feeling just for the two of you.
