Fifty Shades Freed Review: Steamy & Faithful to Book #FiftyShadesFreed

By 6:26 PM ,

The final installment of the Fifty Shades trilogy is here, FIFTY SHADES FREED, just in time for Valentine’s Day weekend. Now if you are a Fifty Shades fan and watched the first two movies, you know you’re going to have to watch the final movie no matter what!

I was invited as media to this screening. Any personal views expressed are always 100% my own.

Written by Christina Chin, who's hip, fashionable and located in New York City.

After attending an advanced screening, I suggest Fifty Shades fans watch the prior 2 movies as a refresher, before going to see the third film. Some references are made to characters and scenes in the previous films, and you might have no idea what they were referring to. You don't want to miss out on all the connections!

That aside, the story-line in FIFTY SHADES FREED is surprisingly pretty faithful to the book and doesn’t stray far from what fans should expect. Everyone will get what they expect – plenty of eye candy for both men and women, a sexy catchy soundtrack - I swear as soon as that Ellie Goulding song ‘Love Me Like You Do’ starts playing I can’t stop humming it.

Then there's the steamy sex scenes between Christian and Anastasia, who are now a married couple. FIFTY SHADES FREED is a movie for a fun girl’s night out or a hot date night. So like Ellie belts out, what are you waiting forrrr?

Go see FIFTY SHADES FREED in theaters on February 9, 2018

Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson return as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele in Fifty Shades Freed, the climactic chapter based on the worldwide bestselling “Fifty Shades” phenomenon.

Believing they have left behind shadowy figures from their past, newlyweds Christian and Ana fully embrace an inextricable connection and shared life of luxury. But just as she steps into her role as Mrs. Grey and he relaxes into an unfamiliar stability, new threats could jeopardize their happy ending before it even begins.

Cast: Dakota Johnson, Jamie Dornan, Robinne Lee

Also returning from prior Fifty Shades entries are Academy Award® winner Marcia Gay Harden, Eric Johnson, Rita Ora, Luke Grimes, Victor Rasuk, Jennifer Ehle, Eloise Mumford, Max Martini, Callum Keith Rennie, Bruce Altman and Robinne Lee, who are joined for the first time by Arielle Kebbel and Brant Daugherty.
