In a behind-the-scenes testimonial video, the film’s director, Bryan Singer, explains why X-men: Apocalypse is even more epic in immersive Dolby Cinema.

“The very name [Dolby Atmos] refers to atmosphere,” Singer said. “Even in a quiet moment or an intimate moment it kind of places you in the environment, whether it’s birds and trees or wind. For an audience it’s very experiential. It kind of brings them into the movie. As a filmmaker one cannot underestimate the importance of sound. Even if you had to close your eyes and experience the movie, you should be taken on journey.”
