This week I attended a Momtrends holiday event which featured holiday apparel and home decor from Lands End. During the event we learned about different holiday items available from Lands Ends.
Attendees also learned about the clothing and fashions available at Lands Ends when some of the bloggers modeled fashions from the company.
Then we learned some stylish decorating tips from
ABCD Design that included
- Mercury glass is big thing, gives the vintage antique-y look and used with votive candles or the fake flickering votives to give that soft glow
- Mydrap.com - is great product and good for housewarming gift. MYdrap napkins and placemats are perforated on a roll for easy tear-off convenience. Made of 100% cotton fibers, MYdrap napkins are biodegradable, compostable and recyclable.
- Centerpieces can have dual roles or reused for multiple purposes - A big fish bowl can be filled with different color yarn during the year and then during holidays filled with fruit for a more festive look
- Embossed decorated matchboxes can be used as place settings with people's names on them as well as party favors- it's a nicer touch to have this special matchbox sitting on a hearth than any old set of matches. Plus you can refill it with matches too
- If you are going to buy high end materials that are going to last for a long time (linen napkins/tablecloths, etc), should keep it to neutral colors. so then you can accent it with different colors with disposable or short lived items.
I love some of those tips and plan on using them this holiday and into the new year.

I use eye cream regularly, mostly as a precaution to wrinkles and to also reduce dark circles and puffiness I sometimes get from lack of sleep. After seeing the infomercials on Meaningful Beauty Cindy Crawford, I was interested in seeing how their eye cream performed.

According to the site, the Advanced Formula Lifting Eye Cream is a rich cream that helps address all of the visible signs of stress around the eye: crow's feet, fine lines, puffiness and wrinkles. Formulated with 'Optical Diffusers', this eye cream works to bring light to dark areas, correcting trouble spots right where you need them.
I used the eye cream for 2 weeks straight each night and morning. It's a lightweight cream that doesn't leave any oily or greasy residue compared to some thicker, petrolatum-based eye cream I have used in the past. Overall it's a nice cream and comes in a small .25 fl oz tube that is great for travel.
Besides the
Advanced Formula Lifting Eye Cream, the other products in the line include
- Crème de Serum -This crème de la crème treatment takes a triple approach to combating the signs of aging with three powerful anti-aging ingredients: super-antioxidant melon complex, anti-aging peptides and hyaluronic acid working to moisturize, hydrate and protect your skin
- Skin Brightening Décolleté and Neck Treatment (SPF 15) The décolleté area is often neglected, tended by only temporarily with cosmetics or full-body serums. Our décolleté cream not only protects this sensitive area with SPF 15, but smooths and evens skin with it's advanced formula.
The Meaningful Beauty starter kit featuring the Créme de Serum, Skin Softening Cleanser, Antioxidant Day Crème, Advanced Formula Lifting Eye Cream and Skin Brightening Décolleté and Neck Treatment (SPF 15) is available for $39.99 on
