Earlier this month, The Makeup Show was in NYC (May 3 - 5th) for its 10th anniversary! During a special Blogger Preview night, I had the chance to get the low-down on what to see at the show when it officially opened.

During the preview, all bloggers were treated to some yummy macaroon snacks while James Vincent, the Director of Artistry for The Makeup Show (TMS), gave us the show highlights on keynote speakers, educational seminars, and then we had a sneak peek at some of the new products launching at TMS as well as some special opportunities for its 10th anniversary.

There were over 100+ brands represented at TMS NYC this year, their largest show yet! Several brands and companies continue to use TMS as a platform to launch themselves into the market and showcase their newest products to the pros of the industry before going public.

A few products we received that stand out to me:

Smashbox L.A. Lights Blendable Lip & Cheek Color

Inspired by magic light of L.A., this multipurpose color ($29) for cheek and lips gives a hint of a glow and a flush of color in a chubby swivel stick form! Infused with a lightweight, brightening formula, it highlights and illuminates skin with color. The double ended design gives you a flat buffing sponge and a curved dome on the other, perfect for blending on the go!

Kat von D Tattoo Liner

Achieve eye perfection with this high-pigment, waterproof liquid eye liner ($19) that stays put all day for a fade-, melt-, crack-, and run-resistant finish. The superfine and flexible brush tip glides across the lashline for fluid application, allowing you to create a variety of looks with ease. Unlike traditional felt tip liners, this brush tip will not fray.

Eve Pearl Invisible Finish Powderless Powder ($38)

I have used this powder before and really love it. Essentially, it will replace your regular face powder for touching up shine. The difference is that this is a non-greasy powderless powder and can be applied before or after foundation, blush or other makeup. You can use your fingers, a brush or face puff to apply it to your face. It's great for on the go touch up to smooth rough texture, mattify, absorb oil, and even out skin tones.

The Makeup Show is an annual event in several cities. It brings the professional beauty industry's movers and shakers together to learn, inspire and collaborate all in the name of beauty and makeup!

It was a great evening to learn about new products that was showcased in The Makeup Show and can't wait to try out all the new products!
