The weather outside may be frightful, but inside it’s so delightful at Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites, where there are plenty of places to escape cabin fever and find fun, fascinating activities.

From visits to Native American and colonial sites, to unique historic homes, there’s a park or historic site with indoor activities suitable for every age and interest. Even the primarily outdoor sites have a welcome center, museum or learning center where it’s possible to warm up.

Rangers and historians are dedicated to teaching about their sites, and many provide educational material that can be used at home. The sites have educational resources that can use in teaching about Georgia’s rich history, culture and environment, including downloadable videos, field trip guides, events and more.
